Sakkara is one of Ancient Egypt’s biggest and most important necropolis. It served as a burial place for kings & nobles for more than 3000 years. Treasures in Sakkara are endless. You can spend from one hour to a full day in Sakkara necropolis only and you will still not see everything.
Tombs in Sakkara are totally different from the tombs in Luxor. The style of Art, the theme in the scenes.. each offer a different perspective on Ancient Egypt. Sakkara also has beautiful hidden gems that they are just as astonishing as the pyramids!
Serenity in the middle of the desert
Dahshur by far is one of the most beautiful places you can ever visit in Egypt. The real experience of the pyramids in the middle of the desert with few people around and almost no sellers. It’s how you exactly a pyramid visit will be!
In Dahshur, you find 2 big pyramids, almost as big as Giza (Slightly smaller) but they were built before Giza Pyramids. A visit to Dahshur pyramids will complete your understanding of the evolution of the pyramids and will take you back in time…
Tour program:
- Start your day with with a visit to Sakkara necropolis. The tour in Sakkara will cover all the important interesting sites that you should not miss: The texts of the pyramids, a standard Mastaba (One of the Nobles tomb), Merrourka tomb, and the complex of King Djoser (Step Pyramid) .
- Around 12 km to the south of Sakkara lies an oasis of serenity and peace “Dahshur pyramids” where you get to explore Egypt’s first completed pyramid “The Red Pyramid” and the earlier attempt to build a fully complete pyramid “The Bent Pyramid”.
Other interesting places can be added to the visit of Sakkara as per guest interest (Extra cost applies):
