Muezz street is Cairo’s oldest street (More than 1000 years old). Walking in this street, you follow the footsteps of the great Sultans and discover the Fatimids, Ayyubids & Mamluk history.

Muezz street monuments were added to The UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. The street itself was named after the founder of Cairo and was Cairo’s main street in the 10th century A.D.
Starting the Fatimid era until the 19th century, rulers were competing to leave their marks in that important street.

Start your day touring the glorious monuments of Muezz street.
The tour will cover:
• Mausoleum of Al Salih Najm el-Din Ayoub
• Complex of Sultan Qalawun
• Khanqah of Sultan Barquq
• Hamam Inal (Old public bath)
• al-Suhaymi House (17th – 18th century)
• Sabil Al-selehdar (19th century)

There is always a room to add more from nearby places to your day as per your interest and energy on tour date. Our tours are slow paced so you can enjoy your time!
The options are:
- Continue walking in the other part of Fatimid Cairo where you can explore different interesting markets like Khayameya market (In that case, it will be 2 KM walk – Cairo gate to gate)
- Visit Azhar mosque
- Visit Museum of Islamic Art (Extra ticket applies)
Note: Tour duration 6 to 8 hours (Including driving time from hotel to sites)
The are of Fatimid & Historic Cairo has hundreds of monuments that cannot be visited in one day. If you have specific places on your list, kindly update our operation team when planning your tours so they can help you with what’s doable on one day.
