City of the Dead.. Cairo’s Northern cemtery

Treasures & hidden gems are waiting for you to uncover in Cairo’s City of the Dead.

City of the Dead tour is one of our signature tours and favorite as well.

On this tour, we explore the treasures & hidden gems of the Northern Cemetery of Cairo. A unique place that hosts some of the most beautiful Islamic monuments ever built.
Back in the 15th A.D, royal mausoleums for the Mamluks Sultans and medieval meditational institute (Khanqah) were built to accommodate the Sufi Sheikhs and spread the message of love, peace & serenity. The tour will take you through the history of the area between the past & the present. Walk and discover real gems! Love photo walks? History Walks? You will definitely love our guided walks!

That part of the city is part of Historic Cairo which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

I usually don’t write reviews but definitely
Walk like an Egyptian deserves this one…

I had an amazing experience and time in yesterday’s tour (the city of the dead) I absolutely love it.

Our tour guide is a friendly person, good communicator, Excellent English, very knowledgeable about almost everything. I usually have a self walk there and thought I knew quit a bit about it, but this one was totally different… they took us to places I’d never visited, telling us history I’d never known…

“Walk like an Egyptian” is recommended if you want to know the amazing stories behind the streets you walk in every day.

THANK YOU WLE , I had a great time and looking forward to doing other tours you offer❤️
