A day in nature!
Egypt is home to different types of birds, in addition to migrating birds that come from around the globe passing by our beloved Egypt.
On this special trip, we will be enjoying a rejuvenating day in nature surrounded by greenery and the glorious Nile while we follow the birds on their start of the day and admire God’s marvelous creations on a quest to feed our soul with how we are all connected and sharing this universe together.
Exploring world heritage is always part of our journeys. Exploring and learning about the input of man on earth is always a part of what we do in “Walk Like an Egyptian”.
During the day, we will have a short stop by the famous “Qanater” (Dams) and get a glimpse of the city’s history.
The tour will be accompanied by a professional tour guide with a great knowledge of birds.
Tour program
– Early departure from Cairo to Qanater (6 AM near Tahrir square)
(Exact details about meeting point, starting time, contacts… will be communicated by email 1 day prior to tour date. )
– A motor boat ride to get close to the birds and enjoy bird watching (1:30 to 2 hours depending on the weather )
During the boat ride, the tour guide will share interesting information about the birds. Free time to take photos of the birds while on the boat.
(Note: The high season of the migratory birds starts in December till February. During this trip, we will see mainly birds which are considered the resident birds and some of the visitors).
– Drive to the old Delta barrage and walk on the bridge.
– Drive to an island to enjoy eating like an Egyptian!
The meal will be a shared meal of a typical countryside meal:
Feteer meshaltet (flaky Egyptian layered pastry) with molasses (Sugar cane molasses), honey and Cottage cheese (Gebna karish) and old Cottage cheese (Mish) and drink peppermint tea.
– Back to Cairo
Notes in case of group tours: (Different for private tours)
- The tour guide prefers you enjoy looking directly at the birds without using binoculars as they are usually difficult to use for beginners.
However we will try to bring 1 or 2 along, if anyone needs it. - Tours are not suitable for children below 10
- Group size: 14 – 15 guests
- Tour language: English, if we have non-Arabic speakers
(If not, then it will be in Arabic) - A minimum number is needed for the tour to take place. We reserve the right to cancel the tour anytime, if it doesn’t reach the minimum number needed. In that case, guests will be advised by email and refund will take place
- Exact drop pin and details about meeting point, starting time, contacts… will be communicated by email 1 day prior to tour date. Kindly make sure you check your email (including Junk folder) 1 day before tour date.

You can cancel free of charge anytime up to 7 days prior to tour date. (Excluding online payment fees)
