Ras El Tin stands where sea meets sovereignty—built in the 1830s by Egypt’s ruler, Muhammad Ali Pasha. During the epoch of Khedive Ismael, Ras El Tin Palace became the summer dwelling of Mohamed Ali dynasty. Under the reign of King Fouad I, the Palace underwent a reconstruction phase to hold 3 floors and was refurnished to resonate contemporariness across the unique architectural design.
Within its opulent halls, the tides of power shifted—most famously when King Farouk abdicated and departed into exile from these very steps.
And for one day only, YOU get to walk through those sacred halls.

Notes in case of group tours: (Different for private tours)
- Duration of this exceptional experience: 1 hour ~ 1 hour and half
- Once you complete the payment, kindly send us a copy of your national ID/ passport (back & front).
- The palace can welcome guests starting from 18 years old only. Younger guests are not permitted as per palace regulations.
- As per palace regulation, the group size will be around 20 – 25 approx.
- Tour language: English, if we have non-Arabic speakers
(If not, then it will be in Arabic) - A minimum number is needed for the tour to take place. We reserve the right to cancel the tour anytime, if it doesn’t reach the minimum number needed. In that case, guests will be advised by email and refund will take place
- Exact drop pin and details about meeting point, starting time, contacts… will be communicated by email 1 day prior to tour date. Kindly make sure you check your email (including Junk folder) 1 day before tour date.

I had an amazing experience and time in yesterday’s tour (the city of the dead) I absolutely love it.
Our tour guide is a friendly person, good communicator, Excellent English, very knowledgeable about almost everything. I usually have a self walk there and thought I knew quit a bit about it, but this one was totally different… they took us to places I’d never visited, telling us history I’d never known…
“Walk like an Egyptian” is recommended if you want to know the amazing stories behind the streets you walk in every day.
